The dictionary defines the term “charity” as something given to a person or persons in need. While many people understand this term and appreciate what it truly is, very few people embody the term. Our modern day Earth is filled with many different things, both bad and good. As citizens of this planet, we are responsible to create good from the bad, and in turn make this planet of ours a better place one charitable act at a time. While the ultimate goal is to live in a time of peace and not have to worry about the day to day struggles that may seem so daunting at times, for now it is best to focus on becoming of the people who embody charity, and not just admire it. Becoming a charitable person can at times be as easy a clicking a button or even buying a certain brand of clothes. The best way to start is by becoming aware of some of today’s various charities.
Founder Shaun King, and the rest of the team at the Hope Mob organization can easily be classified as some of the few people who undoubtedly embody the term “charity.” This organization dedicates itself to helping people all over both the United States, and the rest of the world. From cancer patients to victims of poverty and foreign violence, this organization works tirelessly to make our world a better place one story at a time. The principle behind the organization is simple. A story is added to the website, and is then voted on by random people to be promoted to a featured story. Once a story is featured, Hope Mob will not consider its work done until the story’s fundraising goal is met or in some cases even surpassed. The organization is unique in that it has the potential to help such a broad spectrum of people, which in turn makes it one of the most potentially charitable ideas out there today. I encourage anyone and everyone who reads this to please visit the Hope Mob website at www.HopeMob.org and see for yourself just how easy it can be to reach out a helping hand.
While it seems as though adversities presently remain all over the world, charitable causes are growing faster and stronger, and are giving light to our world everyday. Becoming a charitable person can at times be as easy a clicking a button or even buying a certain brand of clothes. The hope is that charity itself will become an everyday act of people everywhere. Whether it is the team at Hope Mob, the dedicated team at Barnabas Clothing Co., or even the person reading this right now, I believe there is no better time to stand together and create a powerful, unstoppable “life worth imitating.”
