Where is your apparel made?

All Barnabas Clothing items are made in production facilities that are WRAP Certified with a GOLD rating. What is WRAP, you ask? WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production) is a globally recognized, independent 3rd party certifying body whose mission is to promote ethical, humane and lawful conditions and practices in all manufacturing facilities. Companies accepted into the WRAP organization go through an extensive application process in which manufacturing facilities, working environments, and worker's rights are inspected and approved by the WRAP association. WRAP certifications are awarded based upon both internationally and nationally accepted humane workplace standards, local laws, and ethical manufacturing regulations.

What makes your fabrics super soft?

We often get this question, which we reply by saying, it is in the blends. Most of our textiles are woven in a triblend of fabrics. Most style are fabric laundered with a blend ratio of 50% polyester, 25% combed ringspun cotton and 25% rayon which gives that super soft feel. Other blends will be 100% combed ringspun cotton or a 60% polyester / 40% cotton blend for dye printing.

How do you get such vibrant images on your shirts?

We use a special dye printing process on all shirts with designs that incorporate photographs/images. This dye print process fuses the ink directly into the threads of the fabric which gives the print a 'vintage' look.

Who does Barnabas give back to?

Since the beginning, we have partnered with our good friends at The Living Room Ministries, International. The Living Room International is a non-profit organization based in Western Kenya that provides comprehensive care to those men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS or other life threatening illnesses. Their vision is to be a community that honors life and offers hope and they do so by becoming family to those that are dying. The organization has a 26 bed inpatient hospice facility that allows them to provide compassionate medical, emotional and spiritual support for the patient in their final days of life. The environment and atmosphere is that of a home - everyone is welcome, everyone is loved, and everyone belongs. No one is left to face their pain or fears alone. Outside of the facility, the staff also makes home visits, bringing critical care and compassion to house-bound patients. In addition to hospice care, the Living Room is a training institute on HIV/AIDS prevention and in collaboration with other organizations provides education and resources to the surrounding community.

How much of the sale does Barnabas donate?

Our hope is to always give more than we can. At the moment we commit to donating up to 10% of each sale to The Living Room Ministries International. In the future, we hope to donate even more as we continue to grow!

Do you donate to any other non-profit organizations?

Yes we do! We do this through our collaborative pieces with some great brands. One being World Vision USA who gives a portion of every shirt sold from our Empowerment Collection to their 6 global initiatives. From health to disaster relief, your purchase can go a long way in making a difference! Another brand is MacCorcrain Design and their 'No Silence Alliance' organization which helps women to be rescued from human trafficking. Each encourage coin necklace sold will go towards awareness and the help in release of women enslaved.
